My footprint on Environment...
I recently moved to a new boarding place near by my University. Once I get down there the first thing I notice was the light bulb of the room. It was an ordinary incandescent 60W bulb. At my home, kandy it was a CFL. I was used to the light of fluorescent. Therefore I thought of replacing the bulb in my new room with a CFL. It took little while to implement the project, because of the budget, a Good quality CFL costs here in Sri Lanka around 400/= while a best one (900/=). Anyway I could do that, now I have a Osram Deluxe CFL 18W (warm white) which is also good for reading purposes. Where the cool white/sky blue type is too brighter and its said that isn’t good for long time reading which I’m suppose to do!
However now I have reduced my footprint on earth!!! This way I have contribute for the energy saving.100 watts incandescent = 20 watts CFL. I’m working more on this matter …
Try your self to reduce your footprint….
